2025 Midyear Mission Report

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” – Psalm 126:3

As we reach the midpoint of the year, we are grateful for all that God is doing in our midst. Here are a few highlights and prayer requests:

Giving Thanks to God…

1. Lar Mana Children´s Home

We rejoice in the Lord as the Lar Mana orphanage currently cares for only 17 children, thanks to the successful adoption of 27 children in recent months. Each adoption represents a story of hope, and we thank God for the families who have opened their hearts to these children.

2. School of the Bible

This week marks the end of a round of classes at the School of the Bible. I had 18 students in a course on the Major Prophets. Approximately half are church members, and the rest are community visitors. We ask for your prayers that they may grow in their knowledge of His Word and their walk with Christ.

3. Equipping Servants for the Kingdom

Two dozen men are currently involved in our training program. Most are now confidently leading Bible studies, and about half preach regularly. Most are family men with good jobs that support their families. It is inspiring to see how God is raising future leaders for His church.

4. Reaching the Needy

The Boa Vista (downtown) congregation has had an active year in helping an impoverished community in a remote area of our state’s interior. These efforts have brought both physical relief and spiritual encouragement to all involved.

Asking for Your Prayers…

1. Marriages in Crisis

The enemy works tirelessly through our culture to promote marriage as if it should be a constant state of bliss. He subtly conveys the idea that if you are not happy, you have married the wrong person and should try again. Please pray for the couples in the church who are going through a difficult season in their marriages. Pray for healing, humility, and renewed commitment to one another and the Lord.

2. Eldership

We ask for your prayers for our leadership, as one of our three elders has had to step down due to family-related issues. We are seeking God’s wisdom as we move forward and pray for new elders who are spiritually mature and devoted to shepherding the flock.

3. Evangelism Efforts

Pray for boldness, wisdom, and fruit as we continue to share the gospel in our city and beyond. We desire to reach more souls with the hope of Christ and see lives transformed by His grace.

4. Upcoming Event

Preparations are underway for our annual “Day of the Family” celebration. Pray that it will be a time of unity, joy, and encouragement for all the congregations to come together in a time of worship and fellowship. May God strengthen our brotherhood.

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer and support.

May the second half of the year be marked by even greater fruitfulness for the Kingdom!
