They Were All Together in One Place – Part 2 (video)
The second big gathering this month was the 25th Annual Teen Camp. This year’s theme, “The Four Hearts,” was drawn from the Parable of the Sower.
Jesus teaches that our response to His Word determines the kind of “soil” we are hardened ground, shallow and rocky, crowded with thorns (representing worldly loves) or good soil, open and committed to putting Him first.
To help teens reflect on this message, the camp offered Bible discussions, fun group activities and heartfelt times of worship. Many young people left with a renewed sense of purpose, and some heard the gospel for the first time.
Teen Camp welcomes youth between ages 13 and 18. This year, 97 campers attended, many from families who are not yet members of the church. They were supported by 43 Christian volunteers from ten congregations. Throughout the retreat, everyone had the chance to consider the spiritual choices that shape their lives.
We are grateful for the dedication of all who invested in these teenagers, helping them “remember their Creator in the days of their youth” (Ecclesiastes 12:1).
