Children’s Home Lar Mana in 2025

The year 2025 was blessed by all of you, friends of the children of Lar Maná, who have supported us in many ways: through monthly or one-time financial donations; donations of gently used items (clothing, shoes, household goods, etc.); donations of food; and also through your prayers. Without you, our work with the children here would not exist.

In 2025, we had 15 adoptions—that is, 15 children gained a new family.

We also had 25 family reintegrations (children/adolescents returning to their family, which may be their father/mother or extended family such as uncles or cousins). In these cases, our technical team (a social worker and a psychologist) must accompany the family reintegration for six months through monthly visits.

Throughout the year, 46 new children were welcomed, who joined those received the previous year, totaling 56 children and adolescents cared for in 2025.

We hope to count on your support in the new year that is beginning, so that together we can make a difference in the lives of defenseless individuals, changing destinies otherwise bound to drugs, violence, and even death.

May God bless each of you with a good year!

Warm regards, Ana Valéria (director)

PS, The children who are welcomed here always ask for new clothes to wear at Christmas and New Year’s.

We usually receive clothing through the groups that come to the Home during the month of December (they bring gifts for the children and teenagers).

Today, when I went to check the clothes, they had received, I had to take back all of them, because they were clothes I do not allow to be worn here (too short, tight, or with very low necklines).

Then I made arrangements with Misserlandia (our sister in Christ and the educator in charge) to go to buy clothes for the three girls who were still lacking.

This afternoon, the girls went to a clinic for therapy, which is located in a small shopping gallery. When they left the therapy session, they were looking into a clothing store and asked to go in.

They went inside, and a couple who were shopping there told each of the girls to choose a new outfit, and they would pay for it.

Each one chose a pair of pants and a blouse, and the couple paid for everything. The man said he felt a desire in his heart to do this.

I see the hand of God at work at Lar Maná all the time. He does not rest; He does not sleep. His eyes are watching over this place. Every day we give Him glory for everything He has done and for ALL that He is still going to do—I believe that.

Blessed be the name of Jesus, our loving Father, who has taken care of each of these children.
